TF60 Shower Filter

A trickle filter efficiently converts harmful waste to harmless compounds. Not only can they house a large amount of filter media, the type of media used acts different to that of a moving bed for example. By using highly porous ceramic media, aerobic AND anaerobic bacteria forms thus helps reduce Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate.

The nature of a shower is for water to crash throughout the media. This in turn helps to gas off unwanted contaminants (namely Ammonia, thus having less Nitrite and Nitrate for the system to deal with). This action of the water also helps to incoporate high levels of Oxygen, while degassing Co2.

The TF60 can hold approx 100 litres of media / 40kg of media depending which type you use. The best way to stack the filter media inside is to do it randomly with spaces between pieces, so that water cannot track within the unit.

The TF60 comes with a weir as standard, but it can also have 2 x 4" outlets on the side of the bottom tray (spigot version is made to order)

The spray bar accepts 50mm (we use a 2" rubber fitting to convert onto 2" pressure imperial pipework) OR you can source a 50mm to 2" adapter from other online sources.
